WearFair Fashion Summit

International conference on ethical fashion

Linz, October 8 – 9, 2010

The term ‘ethical fashion’ is widely used to describe fashion manufactured according to socially responsible and eco-friendly standards. The WearFair Fashion Summit 2010 addresses this international trend and provides comprehensive expertise in selected subject areas as well as an overview of the latest developments in the ethical clothing industry. The conference targets both well-established businesses and industry newcomers. Internationally renowned experts will share best practice examples in ethical fashion and demonstrate how alternative concepts can be successfully implemented. Discussions will feature potential challenges for designers and retailers alongside strategies to confront them.

This international conference offers a forum for discussions and the exchange of experiences for retailers, designers, producers, certification experts and all those interested in launching a business in the ethical clothing industry. The WearFair Fashion Summit is in particular geared at boosting the network between all industry stakeholders who will have the opportunity to share established knowledge about alternatives to counteract exploitative garment production methods.
